Christmas is for miracles, merriment, and murder.

Over the holidays, Isabella Newcombe and her friends mingle with the British upper-class at a country estate. Then a philandering party-goer is murdered. Suspects surround them.

"The Lion's Den" was my first attempt at a short story. I picked Jack and Filly from Christmas with Death because none of the other characters sparked any ideas.

The story was supposed to be around 7,000 words. Well, it came out 15,000+ words, more like a novella. Oh well. I enjoyed writing it. I think I'll go back and try another short story with Jack and Filly ... or maybe I'll invent a couple of new characters. Graham and Pippa, that sounds like a good couple. Hmmmm.
