This book gave me only one trouble. It kept EXPANDING on me.

It was supposed to be 60,000 words. I was only a little past half-way at 75,000. Then I realized I would still be writing past 90,000 words. I topped 100K and kept going.

Final word count: 108,700+ words.

I thought about breaking it into two books, like a part 1 and part 2. As a reader, I hate that.

Thus, this is the longest book in the Hearts in Hazard series. I think I'll go re-read it now. I enjoyed writing it and proofing it ... I'm bound to still love it after its 2019 September publication.
